Christian devotions in the Daily-Message

Have you ever seen God?

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Hebrews 11:1

Faith is the sure confidence of hope without doubting that which cannot be seen with the naked eye.

“Have you ever seen God?” You often hear this question from non-believers, when speaking about your faith. No, I haven't see Him, also not Jesus, for that I came into the world about 2000 years to late.

- Have you ever seen air? No, you can't see the air, however you can feel the wind when it blows and you can see its impact during a storm. Likewise, I can feel God when I allow Him into my life, and I also often see His impact on my life and the world.

- Have you ever seen love? No, you can't see love, but you can feel it within when you are loved. The butterflies in the pit of your stomach, the deep intimacy with a loved partner. God's love can also be felt within, when I allow Him in, this tingling when the Holy Spirit fills me.

- Have you ever seen a thought? No, a thought cannot be seen and still one can experience and share it. God also shares His Word with us and speaks to me in my dreams.

So there are many things in the world which cannot be detected with the naked eye – but, God has given us other senses with which to understand the world. And with precisely these senses we are able to experience God, even if we can't see Him.

He is every bit as real as the air, love and thoughts....

I wish you a blessed day in which you fully utilize all your senses
