Christian devotions in the Daily-Message

Where do you come from?

“Know ye that the Lord He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.”

Psalm 100:3

Evolutionists argue with Christians, saying that the history of the biblical creation is only a story, a myth. That there is no evidence, apart from the Bible, which supports the biblical theory.

Thereby, they totally forget that their version is also only an evolution-“theory”. According to their own scientific ideas and standards, their theory can also not be proved. To prove something scientifically, it first has to be capable of reproduction, in other words, when it can be repeated in nature or in the laboratory.

Even though today's reproductive-medicine is quite advanced, no-one has managed to produce human or animal life from nothing or from power or from dead matter. Just the DNA in itself is so intricate that they have not been able to fully decipher it, let alone recreate it.

Something like this has originated by accident, through an imaginary big bang? I once read a comparison which describes this accident: It is similar to, as if, in an (old) printing press that still worked with lead, an explosion occurred by which the letters flew into the forms and magically produced a 25 volume encyclopaedia...

Is it not far more feasible that, a creative intelligence, far greater than any human reasoning, created all of this?

And where should this big bang have come from? A nuclear reaction, which instantaneously caused mass to be produced from energy? However, when one poses this question, the other question remains, how can energy be produced from nothing – without a Creator...

All human theories, at some time or other, reach a point where there are no 'scientific' explanations. To argue whether or not the world was created in 7 days – that is another issue – nevertheless, a Creator who called the world into existence cannot be scientifically disproved.

And this Creator, who called the world into being, through His Son, this is our God, in whom we believe. To recognize this, we merely need to behold our nature and our entire universe. “He made us...to His people”, He is our Lord, who created us in His love, to His image. And it is Him, who, when we acknowledge Him and believe in Him, brings us to Himself in eternity, where we will see and comprehend everything.

We are not an accident, or a whim of nature, we are God's beloved children, the sheep of His pasture, the earth. Whoever denies this, wants to make himself to God. For those who don't see this, the horizon goes no further than his own capabilities, which he nonetheless received from God.

Are you still researching, or do you believe?

Have a blessed day in the pasture of the Lord.
