Modern talking

“Another parable put He forth unto them, saying, ''The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.''

Matthew 13:24-30

Lately we hear again and again that our faith must adapt to social circumstances. A Biblical faith is no longer suitable to the present time. The current topics, such as homosexuality, gender mainstream, abortion and many others, are not allowed to be rejected by Christians. Only a modern faith is suitable for modern society.

Much of what is referred to as modern and current already existed for hundred or thousands of years. But, the developing societies have overcome all these mistakes over time. The current society is thus not modern, but extremely retrospective, retreating backwards.

What has however always remained the same, over thousands of years, is the Word of God. Again and again people recognize that the morality of God found in the Bible is not outdated or obsolete, but valid and current at any time.

Society needs rules. It cannot function when every one lives according to his own pleasure-principles and does whatever he feels like doing at any given moment!

Our present social structures are causing us to revert back to the time of Sodom and Gomorrah. The only difference is that God doesn't interfere with fire any more, because we live in the time of grace where each person is called to opt for or against our Lord.

Even Luther presented two crucial points in the life of a Christian: “sola scripturam” and “sola fide” - only through the Word and only through faith. We will not again experience the fire of Sodom here on earth – only after our death it will be determined whether we enter into God's glory or spend eternity in satan's fire.

Have you decided whether you want to follow God or society? You alone decide your destiny!

So, I wish you a blessed day upon which you proceed in the right direction.
