Christian devotions in the Daily-Message

Length and width degrees

“May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.”

Ephesians 3:18-19

I want to travel on Saturday. As usual, I first googled the end goal in order to get more information regarding the area. There is even a parking garage nearby. Unfortunately, only the name of the street is displayed and not the house number – and the street is really long. After a few clicks I find the navigation point. But, here too - no house number, only the geographical coordination leading to the destination, is given. Even if this long quantity of figures tells me nothing, as soon as I enter them into my Navi (Garmin) the exact destination is displayed.

In our lives we are often searching for the right way. But the majority of market-peddlers who want to show us the way, only want to mislead us into taking that path which is most profitable for them.

But there are also quieter voices which don't want to manipulate us. They speak of different coordinates according to which we can direct our lives. There are, for example, charities, help, care-giving, support, selflessness, commitment and many others. But, often we find ourselves helpless before these co-ordinates.

We need the Navi (Garmin) in which to record these coordinates, in order to find the way and the destination.

My Navi for life is the Bible. When I record these coordinates into the Bible, I find what I am looking for. The Bible wants to guide me through my life. All these coordinates are correct, but it is only when I see them in the Bible's perspective, that the right path becomes clear. Only when the faith in Jesus, our Saviour comes into focus, I am able to know that I will arrive at my destination.

Only Jesus leads us, around the construction sites and obstructions, on our way. Through His sacrifice on the cross of Calvary, He removed all the obstacles and cleared the way for me.

What is your end-goal? Who is showing you your way?

My wish for you is that you are able to correctly assign the coordinates of your life, so that you can find the right path.

Have a blessed day.
