Christian devotions in the Daily-Message

Is anyone there?

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Matthew 28:18-20

For almost 15 years you have been able to read a short message here at Daily-Message, every day. Every day, someone writes a few brief thoughts for the day. Many people read these messages and every now and then we also receive feedback, that someone found it thought-provoking, that it edified someone or that someone, in time of need, found his way back to God.

On Friday evening, my server sent me an email to the effect that there was no message for Saturday. As I read it, I remembered the above Bible verse. Jesus commands us to take His message further to make disciples of all.

Many Churches have become increasingly empty in the last few years, fewer and fewer people are attending church services to hear God's Word.
Previously, the pulpit was the place from which to reach the people in cities to proclaim the Gospel. At that time, we didn't send brothers and sisters to other countries to do mission work and spread the Gospel. Today, our country has become a missions-country to which preachers from far countries come to try and bring people back to God.

But, where can we meet people today, where do they have time to think?

On Sundays during Church services, they prefer to sleep in, in the pedestrian zones of the city centres, most people are too busy shopping to have time, so where do we find them?

Probably the only place where people spend time today, is the virtual place of the Internet. The time people spend on the Internet is increasing from year to year.

Here is also the place where I can tell you that you will be lost eternally without God.
Here is also the place where I can tell you that you still have a chance.
Here is the place where I can tell you about Jesus, that He died on the cross of Calvary for our sin, that He didn't remain dead, but was the first of all of us to be resurrected and that we can be with Him again in His glory.
Here is the place where I can tell you that it is not that difficult, that you can speak to Jesus in simple words, that He will listen to you, when you invite Him into your life.
Here is the place and the time, for you to take a moment to think about where you want to spend eternity, whether in the darkness of hell or in the light, in God's glory.
Here, at the place where you are right now, you should make your decision, which way you would like to proceed.
And here is also the place where you can ask questions, if you want to know more about this God and His love for us people. All of us who write here, are also more than willing to respond to your questions, to help you on your way to God.

To which places do your paths lead? What is your goal? One or two short, but honest sentences can change your life, if you are willing! I wish that you would take this step!

So, have a blessed day, on which you are led to your, our goal!
